Carrier: Not Affected but carries one mutated gene.

Affected: Two copies of the mutated gene and will likely show symptoms.

• TEST ALL PUPPIES
  If you're keeping or breeding them so you’re well informed.
  

• NEVER BREED TWO CARRIERS
  That creates a risk of 25% affected puppies.
  

• CARRIERS CAN BE KEPT IN BREEDING PROGRAMS
  Especially if they have excellent traits, as long as they're only bred to clear mates.
